About the Journal
El-Mudawanat is an open-access journal, meaning all articles and research published are freely accessible to readers worldwide without any cost. This aims to enhance the dissemination of scientific knowledge and provide broader access to research findings in the field of Islamic law. The journal focuses on examining various aspects of contemporary Islamic law, including Islamic family law, Islamic criminal law, Islamic constitutional law, Islamic private law, and Islamic economic law. With a multidisciplinary approach, it bridges the theory and practice of Islamic law within the Indonesian context as well as from a global perspective.
All articles published in El-Mudwanat remain the property of the authors, with copyright licenses that allow them to disseminate and modify their work as needed. Authors are expected to provide proper attribution if their work is used in other research or publications. This journal is published by the Postgraduate Program of Universitas Islam Negeri Mataram, and there are currently no external sponsors influencing the content or peer-review process of the journal.
El-Mudwanat was first published in 2024 as an academic platform to facilitate research and discussion in the field of Islamic law.
