About the Journal

Islamic Worldview: Journal of Islamic Studies is an international peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Doctoral Program (S3) of Islamic Studies, Postgraduate Program of UIN Mataram. The journal is dedicated to promoting scholarly dialogue and advancing research in the broad field of Islamic studies through multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary approaches.

The journal provides an academic platform for researchers, scholars, lecturers, students, and practitioners to publish original research articles, conceptual papers, and critical reviews related to contemporary and classical Islamic studies. The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, Islamic theology, Islamic thought, Qur’anic and Hadith studies, Islamic law, Islamic education, Islamic civilization, socio-religious studies, Islamic culture, philosophy, interreligious dialogue, Islamic economics, digital transformation in Muslim societies, and the integration of Islamic and national values in global contexts.

Islamic Worldview: Journal of Islamic Studies is committed to maintaining high academic standards through a rigorous double-blind peer-review process. Every submitted manuscript is evaluated based on originality, scholarly contribution, methodological rigor, and relevance to the development of Islamic studies in contemporary society.

The journal adopts an open-access policy, allowing readers around the world to access, read, download, and distribute published articles freely in support of the global exchange of knowledge and academic collaboration. This policy reflects the journal’s commitment to making scientific knowledge accessible to wider academic and public communities without financial barriers.

The journal is led by Prof. Dr. Abdul Malik, M.Ag., M.Pd. as the Editor-in-Chief and coordinated by Dr. Lalu Muhammad Nurul Wathoni, M.Pd.I. as the Executive Director. The editorial board is also supported by respected scholars, who contribute to strengthening the academic quality and international visibility of the journal.

In order to ensure long-term preservation and accessibility of published content, the journal supports digital archiving initiatives such as LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS systems. The journal also upholds publication ethics, copyright transparency, and author privacy protection in accordance with international academic publishing standards.

Authors who publish in this journal retain copyright over their work while granting the journal the right of first publication. The journal encourages the dissemination and academic use of published articles with proper citation and acknowledgment of the original publication source.
