Peer Reviewers Process

Peer Review Process at El Dirham:

El Dirham follows a double-blind peer review process to maintain objectivity and ensure the quality of the reviews. The acceptance or rejection of articles is decided by the editorial board based on the feedback provided by the reviewers. Before the review process begins, all manuscripts undergo an initial screening to ensure they comply with El Dirham's Author Guidelines and technical requirements. This includes checking for plagiarism using "Turnitin" software. If plagiarism is detected or there are significant violations of the author guidelines (such as issues with the template, references, or formatting), the manuscript will either be immediately rejected or returned to the author for correction.

After passing the initial screening, all manuscripts are evaluated by the editorial staff to determine whether they fall within El Dirham's scope and are of interest to our readership. If the manuscript meets these criteria, it will be sent to external reviewers for further evaluation.

The possible decisions following the review process include:

  • Accepted for Direct Publication – The manuscript is accepted without further changes and is ready for publication.

  • Accepted with Minor Revisions – The manuscript is accepted, but the author is required to make minor corrections within a specified time frame. These revisions usually involve adjustments to language, clarity, or other technical aspects.

  • Accepted with Major Revisions – The manuscript is accepted, but the author must make significant revisions within a specified time frame. These revisions typically involve restructuring, methodology adjustments, or substantial improvements in the content.

  • Rejected, with the Possibility of Re-evaluation After Revisions – If the manuscript is deemed outside the scope of the journal, contains major technical issues, or lacks clarity in content and presentation, it will be rejected. However, the author may still revise and resubmit the manuscript for re-evaluation.

Authors whose papers are rejected will be informed of the reasons for the rejection, providing detailed feedback to help them improve the article for future submissions.
